According to Babajide Sanwo-Olu himself on his social media pages, “Fulfilled my promise today by awarding Miss Yusuf Aminat Imoitesemeh, LASU’s top student, with the N10 million prize.
Her 5.0 CGPA in Law at just 23 years old is a testament to her hard work and Lagos State’s quality education. I also had the chance to have a meaningful conversation with Miss Aminat and her parents, Mr. Ibrahim Yusuf and Hajia Halimah.
We discussed her background and the crucial role her disciplined parents played in her personal development. She shared how her parents’ unwavering commitment to her and her siblings’ education shaped her path to success.
They instilled the value of aiming high and provided everything they needed. I encouraged Aminat to use her voice as a champion for vulnerable communities and to promote initiatives tailored to their needs. Together, we can create opportunities for those who need it most.”
Yusuf graduated from LASU as the institution’s best student of all time, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5.0 on a scale of 5.0, becoming the school’s valedictorian at its 26th convocation held at its Ojo campus.
The government of Edo State Government has offered her an automatic employment.
