Popular Nollywood Actress, Mercy Johnson, has endorsed Edo state’s All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, as she was spotted in Uromi campaigning for the party’s candidate, Monday Okpebholo.
As seen in a viral video on X, Mercy Johnson canvassed for Okphebolo with the crowd jeering her.
Speaking in pidgin English, the actress decried the inability of the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) provide electricity, water, healthcare, security for Edo people.
“No light, no water, no good healthcare, no security, no good road. Una never tire?
“This campaign na operation one man tell the other, one woman tell the other.
“My mother-in-law always say the thing wey we carry na our husbands and children. On Saturday 21st na time for us to prove am” The actress said.
Edo governorship election is set to hold in the 21st of September 2024 with both major contending parties, the APC and PDP, playing blame games.
