Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has allegedly travelled out of the country, ongoing ASUU strike notwithstanding.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been on strike since February, crippling academic activities and resulting in many Lecturers venturing into other vocations or fleeing the country to greener pastures.

The the latest development was made known on Thursday, in Abuja after an inquiry into the latest update on the face-off between the government and ASUU.
Speaking with Punch, a source confirmed that the supervisory minister in charge of negotiation with the academic body (ASUU) has travelled out of the country.
The Minister’s destination or the purpose for the trip are not yet known but reports say he is expected to return to the country on 2nd, September, 2022.
The source said: โThe supervisory minister (Adamu Adamu) who is now in charge of negotiations is currently out of the country. He is expected to be back September 2. As of now, he is one with all the detailsโ.
