Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, arrested Emeka Okonwo Daniel ( a.k.a E- money) on allegations of Naira abuse and defacement of foreign currencies.
He was arrested at his Omole, Lagos residence in the late hours of Monday.
His arrest followed an alleged spraying of foreign currencies including British pounds and American dollars during his close friend, Obi Cubana’s 50th birthday party.
The EFCC cited Naira abuse and the Foreign Exchange Act.
Investigations are still ongoing while the Commission promised to charge him to court at the end of the exercise.
Authorities of the agency have so far declined comments to newsmen, however, sources say he will be flown to Abuja soon.
