The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), this afternoon, 31st of July, detained and interrogated Nigeria’s Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Reports say the interrogation is premised on allegations of misappropriation of public funds and money laundering.
Saraki arrived the EFCC office at about 2:00pm and is still being held as at the time of this report.
A source says that he is still in the Commission’s custody.
Senator Bukola Saraki had, earlier in the day, attended the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of Senator Shaba Lafiagi, Fatima in Abuja.
Saraki is said to have reported at the EFCC office after the wedding.
