Efforts by the Eporo-Ekiti community to meet the kidnappers’ demand of N100 million ransom for the release of the 9 kidnapped victims from Emure-Ekiti hit a brick wall as of yesterday night.
Residents in Eporo-Ekiti revealed that the community and families of the victims were only able to raise a paltry sum of N450,000, a far cry from the N100m ransom being demanded by the kidnappers.
An updated report from Vanguard said that there are 10 kidnapped victims, which included 6 school pupils, two teachers, bus driver and his conductor were from Eporo-Ekti community in Emure Ekiti Local government Area of Ekiti State.
