Some youths have taken to social media to jubilate and show off the money they made at the Ekiti State Governorship election after selling their votes.
Today’s voting exercise was wrought with election rigging especially hawking of votes as there were indeed footages of vote buying and people being guided to vote for a particular party.
The EFCC was overwhelmed tracking down the perpetrators. Some culprits halted their trade each time they sighted journalists’ cameras or they notice someone recording them with a phone.
The more daring footage is the viral video of some boys expressing excitement in the Yoruba language that they have made so much money from the election.
They ignorantly bragged that they have been lifted high and are ready to spend money at locations.
