The international passport of the boy identified as David Ukpo Nwamini who was allegedly flown to the UK to donate one of his kidneys to Ike Ekweremadu‘s daughter, Sonia has revealed that he is 21 years old.
The information is contained in the data page of the international passport bearing David Ukpo Nwamini, the same name embattled former deputy senate president, Ekweremadu disclosed in the letter in the medical visa application submitted to the British High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
From the data page of the passport, David’s date of birth is October 12, 2000, contrary to the viral reports of the donor being a 15-year- old homeless minor.
Former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and his wife were arrested in the United Kingdom by the police and detained on allegations of child trafficking and organ harvesting after Ekweremadu flew David to the UK to harvest his kidney for their daughter.
A medical examination by the surgeon is said to have revealed that David Ukpo Nwamini’s kidney did not match Sonia’s neither did the age in his medical records correlate with his anatomy.
The Ekweremadu’s were on the verge of returning him to the streets of Lagos where they picked him from when he visited a UK Police station to report his ordeal and seek asylum.
Ekweremadu and his wife were subsequently arrested, detained and denied bail in court.
