Nigeria’s former Finance Minister and former Vice President of World Bank, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has recommended that everyone joins hands to achieve a positive outcome from the #ENDSARS movement in the country.

She commended the youth for their courage and resourcefulness during the protests.

In a tweet on Sunday Morning, the development economist said that, “I applaud the resourcefulness and courage of Nigerian youth in the #EndSARS.

“Powerful to let your voices be heard peacefully.

“Let’s join hands for a positive outcome through a One Nigeria approach.”

Nigerian youth are protesting the wanton killing and brutality of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). They have also rejected the renaming of the unit to Special Weapons And Tactics.

The protests have been going on for 12 days across the country.

There are indications that some financial institutions have frozen the accounts of some sponsors of the movement.
