Former lawmaker representing Kogi West in the 8th National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye has clinched a major appointment.
He received his appointment letter as the Chairman Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) support groups.
The former Senator disclosed this on his social media pages on Thursday with pictures of the representatives of the groups in his home.

Melaye decamped to the PDP in 2019 ahead of the governorship election after months of a bitter political tussle with the then governorship aspirant and now Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello.
He has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015.
As a lawmaker, Dino Melaye was the Chairman Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. And briefly the Senate Committee Chairman on Aviation in Nigeria.
He contested for the Kogi State gubernatorial election which was held on 16 November 2019.
On 3 September 2019, he lost his gubernatorial ambition in the primary election where he came third, with a total of 70 votes behind Engr. Musa Wada who won with 748 votes.
He is reported to be nursing the ambition of recon testing in 2023 under the PDP.
