
Former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has expressed joy over Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s return home after she reported Senate President Godswill Akpabio to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Akpoti-Uduaghan had recently traveled to the IPU, an international organization of national parliaments, to file a complaint against Akpabio over alleged unfair treatment in the Nigerian Senate. Her action stirred political debates, with some commending her courage and others criticizing her move.

Upon her return, supporters gathered to welcome her, celebrating what they described as a bold step in defending democracy and women’s rights in politics. Ezekwesili, known for her advocacy on good governance, joined in the celebration.
Ezekwesili took on X (formally Twitter) to express her admiration for the senates strong bond with her constituent, Ezekwesili wrote, “So delighted to see Senator Natasha back home. Her courage is commendable. Every woman in politics deserves fair treatment.”
