Fahim Saleh’s personal Assistant (PA) has been charged with murdering the Gokada tech entrepreneur on Tuesday, at his Manhattan, New York luxury condo.
New York police told CNN that 21-year old Tyrese Haspil was in charge of Saleh’s finances and personal matters. He is alleged to have been stealing from his boss to the tune of thousands of dollars.
According to NYPD Chief Detective, “it is also believed that (Haspil) owed the victim a significant amount of money.”
When Fahim Saleh discovered, he put Haspil on a repayment plan.
Surveillance cameras were reported to have seen a man dressed in black entering an elevator with Saleh. The elevator led to his apartment.
Security personnel say that when Saleh’s cousin rang the bell to his apartment, the PA was allegedly dismembering his body with an electric saw. On hearing the bell, Tyrese Haspil abandoned the equipment and fled according to @NYPD7Pct Chief of Detectives, Rodney Harrison.
The cousin is reported to have said he found Saleh’s head, arms and legs had been severed from his torso.
Speaking further, Harrison said that at about 1:45pm on Monday, Haspil dazed his boss with a taser before killing him.
New York City’s medical examiner said that 33-year old Saleh died of multiple stab wounds.
Fahim Saleh’s PA and murder suspect, Haspil was arrested today, Friday morning and faces a second degree murder charge.
