Fake Pastors and Charlatans in the church have provoked Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo to caution Christians especially young Christians who are hungry for true worship.
The Senior pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre bared his mind in a live Instagram chat with Pastor Poju Oyemade of the Covenant Christian Centre.
Prior to Pastor Ashimolowo’s recent protest, Pastor Chris Okafor was accused of paying a woman with a deformed arm the sum of N400,000 to pretend that he healed her bad arm.
Many Christians and indeed the general public and major newspapers have condemned the miracle. Some media outlets even featured the woman whose arm is still as deformed as it was prior to the miracle session.
Pastor Chris has however, denied the allegation of having staged the miracle through his lawyer, Monday Ubani.
According to him,
“The recent story in a national daily and online platform that the sum of N400,000 was paid to her for a fake miracle is not true.
“The lady in question came to church like any other person and the sad program through she was healed was shown on live television so there was nothing to hide because it was not only the woman that was healed.
“The church is not new. It’s been in existent for over 10 years and the members who keep increasing have received the touch of God one way or the other. So there was no issue of arranging any miracle to anybody.”
3 days ago, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo once again called the attention of Christendom to avoid fake pastors and Charlatans in the body of Christ.
Referring to Pastors Okafor and Prophet Odumeje in the chat with Pastor Poju Oyemade, he said:
“The church in Nigeria needs to be very careful. Particularly these my young men and women who are carrying the fire. They need to realise, perpetuate the fire.
“There is a time to let the nation know we’re not stupid. We’re smart people, we’re wise people. But they must also know there is fire in our assemblies, fire in our churches.
“Let me just add this, these young men and and women, and I believe they’re very good guys. Because they are too much into this cerebral thing, we now have charlatans in the land who will be claiming the miraculous, they’re just liars, faking it !
“I’m sure you heard of the lady whom they were passing to one another, who was dramatising her arm because the nation wants to see the miraculous. They want to see the supernatural.
Pastor Ashimolowo added that “The young men who were born in the fire of genuine revival need to be very careful or else all these guys who are just fakers of miracles, who their God is their belly, they become the one that distract.
“They have one in Anambra. People throw money at him in his service. It’s unbelievable. You would be wondering, is this church ?”

Unfortunately, not every christian aggress with Pastor Ashimolowo. Ndubuisi for instance calls him out for also manipulating a congregation in Ghana to “sow at least a $5000 seed” each.
