The family of the slain 12-year-old student of Dowen College have fulfilled their vow to celebrate his 12th birthday.
Sylvester Oromoni was allegedly killed by senior boys of the school who bullied him endlessly until he died on Tuesday, 4 days to his 12th birthday.
His father said in a video that he had broken ribs and limbs and was fed with a yet to be identified liquid chemical and threatened never to reveal anything about his injuries.
According to him, on the final night he was tortured, 5 boys stormed his room, turn off the light and pounced on him.
They threatened his room mates never to reveal what they saw as they scampered out of the room to safety.
The brutal torture led to his eventual death. Fortunately, he was able to reveal what he endured and give the names of his killers.
The birthday was emotion-laden as the father held up his picture while the family joined hands to cut the cake.

As many parents as can afford to, keep your children away from boarding houses.
So many badly raised parents are parenting kids that give good children grief.
Always listen to your children when they ask to change schools. Complaining to principals and housemasters doesn’t help because they’re overwhelmed but won’t say so.
Even when they, as much as scold badly behaved kids, the parents storm the schools to embarrass them or even beat them up and the school management will still sack them for offending their high-networth parent who probably bankrolls key projects of the school.
Reading school management in school is not enough.
