Father’s days was marked with interesting sights and sounds across various worship centres.
Reactions from Christian leaders:
Pastor Adeboye’s Father’s Day 2020 celebrations-
Pastor E A Adeboye spent the day with his personal aids who celebrated his leading role and fatherly figure. In turn, he prayed God to make them all, his spiritual and biological children greater that him. Pastor Adeboye also asked God to exceed their heart desires.
“To all fathers and aspiring fathers, I pray that everything that would make you responsible and useful to your generation, my Father will grant unto you in Jesus name.
“There is a special place in my heart for all my sons that work directly with me as drivers, advance team, security details, media team and admin staff. When I’m on the move, they are on the move as well. To all of them that are fathers and aspiring fathers, I pray that God continues to strengthen them in Jesus name.”
Paul Adefarasin
For Pastor Paul Adefarasin, it was his wife, Ifeanyi that chose to celebrate him. According to her:
“My special thoughts of thanksgiving for you, Dearest Adeolu… _
You stand strong as Father to many all over the world. Your large heart is so full of love, care and compassionate for men and women everywhere as you strive to see them blessed, successful and living their best lives in Christ.
“You are Pastor, Shepherd, Father to many in the ministry, who sit under your priesthood and feed from the wellsprings of wisdom, knowledge and counsel of God that flows so freely from God through you.
“You are indeed like many great men, who have come before you; as you learn from them, emulate their best qualities, and walk in the paths they have walked, you are able to carve out new paths of your own, leaving a legacy for those who come behind you. Our children and many generations to come will be able to stand on your shoulders to become all they are predestined to be because they too have learned from you.
“You are an amazing Dad to our children: Adebola, Alvin and Alexander – with your beautiful expressions as Prophet, Priest, Protector, Provider and so much more. You are passionate yet patient. You are gentle yet loving, you are firm yet fun. You are all we need and so much more. My heart, and the hearts of our Children trust securely in you because you are a good, GOOD Father and we know that we are loved by you.
“Happy Father’s Day, Darling ‘Deolu. Thank you for being an awesome Father. I, and all your children, love you now, always and forever!”
Bishop David Oyedepo’s Father’s Day 2020 admonision-
“Fathers,
God has given you control as the head of the home; be a smart driver otherwise that family is heading for an accident. You must not open up your home to malice or discord. You can prevail over them all by knowledge.
#HappyFathersDay”
Matthew Ashimolowo –
