Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose’s son, Joju has emerged as one of the winners of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) election for the House of Representatives.
A graduate of Covenant University, Ogun State, Nigeria, Joju emerged one of the winners in the party’s primary election held across the federal constituencies on Sunday.
The former governor’s son won the ticket for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1.
Fayose’s former media adviser, Lere Olayinka, also emerged as the PDP candidate for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2.
Joju Fayose is said to have polled 69 votes to defeat his closest rival Deji Adeosun, who got 9 votes.
Lere Olayinka scored 54 votes to beat his opponent, Victor, who polled 45 votes.
Also, a former governorship aspirant, Yinka Akerele, returned unopposed for Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1.
For Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2, Babatunde Ajayi polled 63 votes to grab the PDP ticket, defeating Funmi Ogun, who had 33 votes.
