The Federal Government has declared that Monday, May 29 as public holiday for all workers nationwide.
The declaration is to commemorate the inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Tinubu’s inauguration will symbolize the successful continuation of democratic governance, marking the 7th consecutive democratic transition of power since Nigeria’s return to civilian rule in 1999.
This historic period has witnessed unbroken democracy for 24 years, with former President Olusegun Obasanjo serving as the first elected President.
