Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for finding the courage to sack Buratai and other service chiefs.
He called on the Service Chiefs to get to work immediately by confronting the terrorism that pervades the land.
The Lawyer and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain also advised the new chiefs to ensure they protect the lives and property of Nigerians.
Fani-Kayode made his views known in a tweet Tuesday evening:

“They must hit the ground running& confront the menace of terrorism. They should send every terrorist to hell & protect the lives& property of the people.”
News of the appointment of the new service chiefs was made public Tuesday, 26th January, 2021 with a confirmations from the President and his aids:
Muhammadu Buhari@MBuhari· “I have accepted the immediate resignation of the Service Chiefs, and their retirement from service. I thank them all for their overwhelming achievements in our efforts at bringing enduring peace to Nigeria, and wish them well in their future endeavours.
“I have also appointed new Service Chiefs, to replace the retired officers: Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff Major- General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.”
