Precious Chikwendu, the estranged wife of Femi Fani-Kayode popularly known as FFK has called out his pastor who described her as Delilah and Vashti.

Delilah in the Old Testament, is the central figure of Samson’s last love story (Judges 16). She was a Philistine who was bribed to entrap Samson a powerful warrior whom no one could defeat.

She coaxed him into revealing that the secret of his strength was his long hair. She soon took advantage of his moment of weakness to betray him to his enemies.

Delilah ordered a servant to cut Samson’s hair while he slept on her lap, thereby enabling her to turn him over to the Philistines.

According to Esther 1, Queen Vashti was the wife of King Xerxes and therefore queen of Persia in about 480BC.

During a week-long feast in his palace in Susa (and while he was affected by alcohol), Xerxes commanded Vashti to come and “display her beauty” before all of his guests “for she was lovely to look at”. 

When Vashti refused to cooperate, she was promptly demoted, and the Jewish orphan girl Esther eventually became queen in her place.

A former beauty queen, model and actress, Precious said the clergyman visited her home when she still lived with the former Aviation Minister as a couple and called her “Delilah” and “Vashti.”
