Today marked the final exit of a lovely lady. The world bade farewell to Ibidun, the lady who gave her all.
So much has been said across all divides. Former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola called her a lovely butterfly.
Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo called her a lovely lady, a princess. Yemi Akenzua, Assistant Pastor of Trinity House tagged her a princess. If a real born prince calls someone a princess, then she is indeed.
Her brother re-assures Ituah that if she if was possible for her to come back to this world, the family would ensure she marries him again.
In all, her no less noble kind-hearted husband stayed strong. Her children may never fully understand where she has gone. Perhaps, Keke, her first child but certainly not the baby boy, Zenan.
A peak into their you minds may reveal some pertinent questions…”Could mummy have gone on her usual business trips ? But why these endless visitors ? Yes we are used to so many visitors, but this is unusual !”
Well thank God for videos, when Zena grows up, he will no doubt bond with video footages. May the Lord comfort him and his sister and dad.
Picture reel:
Nigeria, celebrity circles, celebrity weddings and occasions will miss an icon. Former Governor Fashola describes how for the period his tenure, the “Butterly” decorated the city of Lagos, from Victoria Island, through Surulere to Yaba and Ikeja.
Lagosians looked forward to Christmas and Muslim holidays because Lagos would be lit. Yours truly deliberately returned late from work just to observe the Arabian night ambiance of the city of Lagos.
Daughters of big families got their fathers to give them fairytale event weddings “a la Elizabeth R.”
Well, she is now in the real beautiful land from where her creative inspiration came.
Ibidunni used her period of waiting for for a child to bless those in her situation and Adesua Onyenokwe is amazed at her sincerity. No doubt, being in the media, the OAP must have met people with the very opposite orientation. Well, Ibidun had it going with her maker and she was on a mission to lift people up.
Ituah never ceases to tell his congregation to give their all while they are still alive. He draws an analogy to the fact that nobody ever dies with his fists clenched. According to him “you will never see a dead man with his fist tightly clenched. The fingers are all always spread out. The meaning is that all dead men leave the world, empty, holding on to nothing. So what are you holding on to. pour it all out my brothers and sisters.”
In his pain, with a most devastating news a few hours prior, Ituah found the courage to lift a grieving family up. He officiated at a friends funeral. What a generous should !
Our Lord indeed blessed him with a lady that gives it all just like him.
Today marked the final exit of a lovely lady who gave it all, Ibidun was laid to rest today. Farewell Ibidun, Adieu Butterfly, Au Revior La Femme Mignonne
It is well. #ibidunniighodalo
