A section of popular Rainbow plaza in the Martins Street, Balogun Market on Lagos Island has been gutted by fire.
The fire incident was recorded in the market Sunday morning, October 9.
Eyewitnesses said the fire started from a section of the plaza located on Martins Street, Lagos.
It was traced to a faulty socket that caught fire due to an electric power surge.
Traders were seen taking the risk of evacuating goods they could reach as the fire raged on.
