Opuofoni Freedom Ebimotimi, a first class graduate of University Of Ibadan (U I) was k!lled in the early hours of today at Honeyhill Tombia Bayelsa State for stealing a loaf of bread.
The sad news was given by Peoples’ 93.1FM.
Opuofoni Freeborn Ebimotimi who is From Korokorosei community of Southern Ijaw Local Government area Studied Business Administration (B.Sc) in U I.
He was beaten to death by angry youths for stealing a loaf of bread this morning,
Neighbors and friends who saw the incident rushed to the scene as the mob descended on him and pleaded with the angry youths to free him.
The friends offered to pay twice the cost of the loaf of bread but the angry youths declined and remained resolute in handing him the fatal justice.
Opuofoni Freeborn Idisemi, the younger sister to the deceased lamented that life has been unfair to them since the demise of their father. She added that she found it difficult to fathom what led him to steal bread this morning stating that they got used to the hardship that life thrusted on them.
She however pointed out that despite having wealthy uncles, some of whom are highly placed in government and businesses, none of them could help them.
