The Kogi State Government has mourned the death of former Deputy Governor Patrick Adaba, who died at the age of 79.

In a statement, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, described Adaba as a dedicated leader who played a crucial role in the early development of Kogi State.

Adaba served as Deputy Governor to the late Prince Abubakar Audu and was recognized for his integrity, patriotism, and commitment to governance.

Governor Usman Ododo extended his condolences to the Adaba family and the people of Kogi State, acknowledging the late statesman’s contributions to the state’s progress.

The government noted that Adaba remained a valuable resource even after leaving office and continued to offer guidance on governance matters.

The statement described his death as a significant loss to his family, the Ebira nation, and the state as a whole.

The government expressed hopes that his legacy would continue to inspire future generations and prayed for the repose of his soul.
