The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released the full list of monies and properties owned by the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Maina was on Monday, sentenced to 61 years in jail by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

In his final ruling, Justice Abang stated that the former pensions boss will spend 8 years in jail as his term will run concurrently with effect from the 25th of October, 2019.

He said that Maina is guilty of money laundering to the tune of over N2 billion following vital evidence brought against him by the EFCC who proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.

Justice Abang ordered Maina and his firm to refund not less than N2.1 billion. The amount which was traced to his bank accounts is to be deposited with the Federal Government. He will also forfeit his properties in Nigeria.

In a statement released on Monday by its spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC stated that the enormous amounts of money were discovered in accounts linked to Maina with properties scattered across Abuja, the US and Dubai.

Full list of properties uncovered by the EFCC as belonging to the former pension boss:
  1. A bulletproof car
  2. A BMW 5 series car
  3. Cash deposits of  N300million, N500million and N1.5billion in two Nigerian banks accounts
  4. Property in Abuja paid for with $1.4 million cash
  5. 50 cars in Dubai
  6. Plush villa in Dubai
  7. $2 million property in Jabi, Abuja
  8. Colster Logistics, belonging to Maina received an inflow of $400,000 in Cash
  9. Kangolo Dynamic, another company belonging to Maina with over N500 million found in its account.
  10. Several choice properties in America and the United Arab Emirates
