Coronavirus Pandemic World

A fully vaccinated flight attendant resident in Las Vegas has died after a protracted battle with Covid-19.

KDFW reports that 36-year-old Maurice Reginald Shepperson also known as Reggie who works with Southwest Airlines died last week after testing positive for Covid-19 in early July.

According to his mother, Dawn Sherpperson, “It shows how quick life can change.”

While speaking with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Dawn questioned “How you can build a life for yourself, and how quickly your life can just be taken away. Everything that you worked for, so hard, it can just basically be left in ruins, your family left in ruins.

The bereaved mother confirmed to USA Today that Maurice had been fully vaccinated against the dreaded Covid-19.

She added that, “It hurt me so bad because it was just so quick. I didn’t have time to really even acknowledge what (was) going on. This is mind-blowing. It’s not real. It’s not real.

According to the U S Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, a person is fully vaccinated 14 days after he has received his final dose of an FDA-authorised vaccine.

Maurice’s employers, Southwest Airlines, in a statement said that, “We are heartbroken over the loss; the Southwest family is supporting each other, and our employee’s family during this difficult time. Out of respect for Reggie’s family, we do not have additional details to share.”
