The family of late former chief of general staff Lieutenant General, Oladipo Diya has announced the funeral arrangements.
In a statement on Wednesday they stated that he would be laid to rest on July 29.
Diya, who was deputy to the late General Sani Abacha, died on March 26, 2023, 8 days to his 79th birthday.
In a statement on behalf of the family, Prince Oyesinminola Diya said after consultations and meeting, the burial rites have been scheduled to begin on July 26, 2023 with a night of tributes.
This will be followed by a service of songs on July 27 and wake on July 28, 2023.
The final burial rites on July 29 will consist of church services, interment, reception and entertainment and final laying to rest. A thanksgiving service will follow on July 30.
The statement said further details will be made available in due course, including specific venues of the burial programmes.
It added: “Please remember us in your prayers especially our mother his dear wife, Otunba (Mrs.) Josephine Onoimuoko Diya (JP).”
