Joshua Mike Bamiloye, son of renowned Christian evangelist, Mike Bamiloye has warned youths to stop attending events by famous Nigerian Afro Beats stars.
Bamiloye’s warning sparked a debate online after expressing his opinion on Christians attending secular music concerts.
Speaking via Twitter, he said that genuine Christians should not participate in concerts by secular musicians such as Davido, Wizkid, Rema, and more.
The music producer went rightly predict that some people would argue over his stance.
According to him, people who are guided by the Holy Spirit should understand how to set boundaries.
He said, “Honestly, If you consider yourself a genuine Christian, it’s not appropriate to participate in shows or concerts by secular artists like Davido, Wizkid, Rema etc Some might argue against this view, but those who are guided by the Holy Spirit understand where to set boundaries.”
“Many have asked if secular artists who sing clean lyrics fall into the same boat. While this is a somewhat ambiguous matter given the wide range of artists involved, my 2nd point covers it: the guidance of the Holy Spirit will instruct us on where and how to establish boundaries.”
