Kumah’s untimely death occurred on Thursday while he was in Germany, where he had been undergoing medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment. However, news say he was poisoned by his kinsmen.
The late minister had been a prominent figure in Ghana’s political landscape, having been elected as a Member of Parliament for the Ejisu constituency during the 2020 general elections under the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
His dedication and service led to his appointment as Deputy Minister of Finance in April 2021.
