It is another black day today in Nigeria as a road accident in front of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba is reported to have killed scores people.
This is addition to a fatal gas explosion at Agbor, Delta State and deaths in the hands of bandits in Kaduna.
Reports say that at least 30 lives were lost and many injured in front of the University. Among them was a pregnant womon who died instantly.
Residents are calling on families to check on their loved ones to be sure they are safe.
Students and residents lament that accidents on the road are a daily occurrence as a result of the bad roads in the city.
Unconfirmed reports say that the accident was caused by a Dangote truck.
Sympathisers continue to send heartfelt messages to the university and the community.
A resident reports that 3 siblings were killed in the road accident. According to Adorable Alhaji ❁@Alh_Teedot· “3 siblings lost their lives to today’s accident in akungba, I wonder the kind of situation their parents are now. And the government kept quite about the loss of lives on this major road and keep watching people lives wasting.”
One of the victims is a popular student of the university known by her pet name as Topmost.
A sympathiser and foremost participant in the #EndSARS protest laments the daily tragedies in the country.
Rinu is also in the Lagos State Judicial panel probing cases of police brutality in the state.
