
A former popular TV presenter, vibrant alumnus of the University of Ibadan and Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Shimite Love has allegedly been murdered by her husband in Delta State.
The former presenter of ” African Pot” and ” African Pot Extra”; a highly regarded Television documentary that promotes Traditional African Cuisine, Tourist attraction and culture as well as investment opportunities in Africa d!ed this Monday morning after series of battery.
The University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA), particularly the Asaba Chapter is mourning the tragic and shocking d3ath of one of its most distinguished members, Chief Shimite Love, fondly known as The White Eagle.
According to reports, Chief Shimite Love was allegedly murdered by her husband in the early hours of Monday, April 21, 2025. Her untimely passing has cast a dark shadow over the UIAA community and beyond, as they mourn the loss of a rare gem who contributed immensely to both alumni activities and public service.

Chief Shimite Love was a graduate of Political Science from the prestigious University of Ibadan. She was not only a proud Chief of Ebu Kingdom in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, but also a brilliant political figure. Until her d3ath, she served with distinction as the Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Trade and Export.
According to the Alumni representative, “Her intelligence, grace, and unwavering commitment to progress made her a shining star in Delta State’s political arena and a cherished voice within the UIAA. Personally, I will miss her radiant presence and insightful contributions during our alumni programmes. Her charm and intellect left an indelible mark. Both UIAA and Delta State just lost an asset.”
According to Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant On Media to Delta State Governor, “This is sad, Woke up with the news of Chief Shimite Love’s demise.
“The husband Pastor David Favour Love has been arrested by the Nigeria Police In Asaba .
“Until her death, she was the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Trade and Export.
“She was such a beutiful woman with brains. She was a Politician, Policy Maker, MSME & Financial Literacy Service Provider, Export, Social Business Entrepreneur, Reputation Manager, Public Speaker & Media.
“I once invited her to my event and she was top-notch.
“We’ll definately miss her. My condolence to her family.“
