One of Nigeria’s most sought after gospel singers, Mercy Chinwo on Thursday, officially wedded her lover, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa.
The couple had their traditional marriage ceremony in Port Harcourt on 18th July 2022.
Photos of the court wedding which held today 4th August 2022 at the marriage registry under the Federal Ministry of Interior, were shared by both of them on their Instagram pages.
It was indeed a joyful day as they both laughed heartily throughout the ceremony.

Blessed Uzochikwa, the minister in charge of The WaterBrook Church, once reacted to a throwback video of him saying Mercy is like a sister to him.
This comes after Nigerians dug up the viral video with the statement, following the news of their engagement.
The Pastor was heard saying in the video: “I got to stop laughing. I love Mercy Chinwo so much, she’s like a sister to me. Amazing lady, very powerful, very anointed, so beautiful…”
However, during a ministration at his church on Sunday 26th, June, Pastor Blessed reiterated that Mercy Chinwo is his sister asking if he is not a brother.
According to him, Christians are like brothers and sisters in the kingdom of God but many people are carnally minded.
He urged his members to always look around the sisters when it’s time to get married.
