Authorities from the Lagos Waste Management Authority and the Ministry of Environment in the state have dismantled stalls constructed along drainage channels adjacent to Silver Spring Schools in the Ikotun region of Lagos State.

The state’s Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this in photos shared on his X handle on Thursday.

Wahab stated that the operation was carried out under his instruction to beautify the area per the state government’s #GreenerLagos policy.

His caption read, “As I instructed, illegal kiosks built on drainage setbacks beside Silver Springs Schools, Abaranje Road, Ikotun were earlier today evacuated by the #Lawma_gov enforcement team and the #LasgMOE monitoring officers.

“The monitoring officers were directed to request the Principal of the school to take over the setback and then beautify it in accordance with the #GreenerLagos policy of #jidesanwoolu led administration.”
