Mr Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources in Lagos State has reacted to a viral video of a man illegally acquiring a portion of land at the Lekki area of Lagos.
He alerted the authorities about houses being built on a canal at Orchid Road in the Lekki area.
The man showed a part of the canal that had already been sand-filled for structures to be built on them.
Reacting to the video, the Commissioner described it as ‘’illegal construction’ and stated that the state government would take action.
