The Niger State Commissioner for Education has vowed to investigate and take appropriate disciplinary action against the teachers of a school whose pupil was seen during students’ debate, condemning the government.
AbdulKabir AbdulKadir, a pupil from Kasim Primary School in Agaie, Niger State was seen during the academic exercise, vehemently expressing anger over the state of the nation.
The student, in his motion during the debate, opposed compulsory voting in the country, expressing concern that the citizens’ votes have lost significance going by the outcome of the 2023 general elections.

According to the statement, the government is worried about the use of “vulgar and violent language” by the pupil.
“The ministry observed with dismay the disturbing content of the video, where it was evident that the student had been coached to use violence and vulgar language in his presentation.
“The Commissioner, has vowed to investigate the incident further and take appropriate disciplinary action against those responsible for coaching the student to use such language”, the statement added.
