Oluwaseun, the wife of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, has returned to the state over a year after her husband emerged as governor.
Oluwaseun returned to the state following months of speculation, particularly appeals for her to return to her husband due to a frosty relationship.
She is said to have made a dramatic return to the Government House on Saturday during the ceremony of the governor’s niece, held at the Government House Chapel.
Oluwaseun had allegedly left the state since Aiyedatiwa was the deputy governor due to allegations of a strained relationship.
Following the development, leaders in society made spirited efforts to reconcile the couple, which was said to have yielded results with her appearance ahead of the February 24 inauguration of her husband.
According to sources, when the governor’s wife entered the chapel, there was a loud ovation and obvious joy due to what many described as the void being properly filled

One of the sources stated, “Her sudden appearance may not be unconnected with the wedding and the growing demand by the people of Ondo State for her return.
“Many had called for her presence in the affairs of the state, seeing her absence as a missing link in governance.”
Meanwhile, the officiating priest at the chapel, upon sighting the First Lady, addressed her as Her Excellency, a remark that drew further applause from the congregation.
