Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu today, Christmas Eve, stepped out of isolation having fully recovered from covid19
The information was published by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile on his verified Twitter handle, @gboyegaakosile1
In the tweet, the governor was seen stepping out of his house and waving to well wishers who obviously gathered in solidarity.
In his press conference afterwards, the governor advised Lagosians not to wait until they break down before seeking medical help.
According to him, “Do not wait until you are on reserve, (as with a car). Once you feel unwell, please shout out.”
“There might be some signals that you don’t know anything about, don’t just take chances. The beauty of it is that you will get well, you can get well.”
The Governor added however, that we must all protect the vulnerable people among us.
Sanwo-Olu described his infection with the virus as moderate and advised everyone to continue to observe laid down health protocols to avoid infection.
He asked everyone to submit to a test as soon as covid19 symptoms appear.
The governor reminded businesses and public places to adopt strict ‘no mask, no entry’ policy insisting that he will visit anyone who flouts the order with the full weight of the law.
It has been 13 days since the governor’s state of health was made public by the State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi.
