The Ijaw leader stated that Fubara is essentially acting as a figurehead in his role as Governor to the extent that he is being challenged by his own commissioners.

In an interview with Arise TV, Prof Ikaba said that ”We have done a thorough analysis, the only offense committed by Fubara is that he had decided to ask questions about his authority to do certain things as a governor of the state.

Professor Benjamin Okaba expressed, “This man, as a governor, has barely traveled out of the state; he is being challenged by his own commissioners. He’s essentially just a figurehead. And he’s asserting that this cannot continue for the progress of Rivers State.”
