Unknown gunmen are said to have kidnapped Obiora Agbasimelo, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the November 6 Anambra election.
Agbasimelo had won the ticket for the governorship election in the primaries held in the state a few months ago
His victory resulted in a crisis in the party leading to one of the aspirants in the primaries, Nnamdi Nnoruka being allegedly abducted and forced to withdraw from the race.
