A frustrated young university graduate has posted a video of the moment he burnt his degree and NYSC certificates.
The man narrated how had just returned from a job interview where he was offered a monthly salary of N95,000, an amount that fell short of his expectations.

In a fit of anger, he set his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate and university university certificate on fire.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion and concern about the challenges faced by job seekers in Nigeria. He said:
“It took me 7 years to get these certifications, my dream is to be a Musician, but for so many years I didn’t see my success, so I decided to look for a job. I went for an interview and they said my salary would be N95k.
“I spent 3k on transportation to and fro. That means I would be spending N60k mostly on transportation, so my take-home at the end of the day is N35k.
“How would I spend 7 years in university and be collecting that?”.
