Unknown gunmen have abducted a former General Manager (GM) of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA),Bashir M Abdullahi.
While details of the abduction remain sketchy, information gathered so far say that the former NPA boss was kidnapped from his farm located at Sumaila Local Government Area of Kano State on Wednesday afternoon.
The reports say that the gunmen whisked away the retired officer while he was inspecting his farm in Sitti village of the Local Government Area.
A source who spoke on conditions of anonymity said that, “The retired General Manager of NPA was kidnapped this afternoon from his farm in Sitti, Somalia Local Government Area. Please pray for his safe return to his family.”
“In addition, please request the congregation of your local Masjid, through the Imam, to pray for him.”
The Kano State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa denied knowledge of the incident but promised to verify as soon as possible.
