Gunmen invaded the home a man named Abdullahi Benda kidnapping him and and his 23-year-old son, Jibrin.
Benda’s neighbour, Zakari said the kidnappers positioned themselves at strategic locations of their house located at Yangoji in Kwali Area Council of Abuja.
He added the kidnappers scaled the fence to access their victims’ home in the very early hours of Friday, 3rd of September.
He said that, “In fact, one of the kidnappers was even standing at a window at the back of my room shooting into the air because it is a fence that separatess us from the victim.
“The other members of the gang jumped over the fence and entered the house.”
Zakari said that the kidnappers destroyed the properties before entering the house to seize the man and his son at gunpoint.
He added that, “They attempted whisking the man’s wife, but they later spared her after discovering that she was nursing a baby.
ASP Daniel Y Ndiparya, spokesperson of the FCT police command confirmed the incident to Daily Trust and said thee command was making efforts to rescue the men alive.
According to him, “Yes we are aware and efforts are being made by the command to rescue the victims.”
