Unknown gunmen have kidnapped a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and a female teacher.
Reports say that the Cross River State-based Pastor identified as Sunday Adediran was whisked away by the gunmen who descended on the Isolated kot Eneobong community.
According to an eyewitness, Mrs Udeme, the kidnappers gained entrance into the residences of the victims by cutting through the roofs.
Another eyewitness named Mr Charles claims that the gunmen succeeded in getting way with the victims in spite of resistance by residents of the quiet community which is cut off from neighbouring villages due to bad access roads.
In her reaction, police spokesperson, Irene Igbo said the police is yet to receive any report of the incident.
She added that the police operatives will go any length to get to the root of the matter.
In her words, “We are yet to get information on the issue, as I speak with you, nobody has come to the state to report the issue.”
