Gunmen Open Fire on NDLEA Operatives in Daredevil Gun Duel

A yet-to-be-identified of gunmen have allegedly opened fire on operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in a gun duel on Monday night.

The daring gun battle happened on Awolowo road when officials of the federal law enforcement agency tried to arrest the driver of a truck loaded with several bags of Cannabis.

A source who spoke with Vanguard disclosed that the armed men suspected to belong to a yet-to-be-identified security agency also smashed one of the operational vehicles of the anti-narcotic agency.

Reports however, say that some military men intervened in the shoot-out which happened on Awolowo road in Lagos, and prevented what could have resulted in a blood bath.

The assailants, however, were able to escape the scene with the driver of the truck abandoning the vehicle.
