Gunmen stormed Maikatako community in Bokkos local government council area of Plateau state k!lling at least 9 members of a family soon after the APC campaign flag-off in Jos.
The Nation reports that the gunmen stormed the community on Tuesday night and started shooting sporadically.
Residents said the incident occurred around 9:30 pm on Tuesday, a few hours after the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC ended their Presidential campaign rally in the state.
Spokesman of the Plateau Police Command Alfred Alabo confirmed to newsmen that the Police were aware of the attack and have gone after the assailants.
He said: “our men are on top of the situation though details of the attack were still sketchy.”
Alabo promised to give an update as soon as he has more information.
