Fire broke out today at the High Commission of Canada in Abuja, Nigeria.
Reports say the building located at 13010G, Palm Close, Diplomatic Drive, Central Business District in Abuja, got engulfed in fire today around a few minutes to 12 noon.
As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
Videos and images shared from the scene show the flames still billowing from the structure. The fire is said to have forced the evacuation of staff members and vehicles from the building.
There have also been no reports of human casualties since the fire began.
High Commission plays a crucial role in providing visa and immigration services for individuals wishing to travel or relocate to Canada.
Also, it offers assistance to Canadians residing or visiting Nigeria, as well as those in Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and Principe.
