A protest is currently taking place in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital today, February 19 over the state of the economy and the resultant hardship and hunger.
The protesters gathered around the Mokola area in the state carrying placards with various inscriptions such as ‘End food hike and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others.
They were also chanting songs to describe their frustration.
Armed policemen watched proceedings as protesters held the peaceful rally against the economic hardship in the land occasioned by the removal of petrol subsidy.
