Inspiration Stories from the heart

A video of an exceptionally brilliant valedictorian and head girl of God’s Light Group of Schools, Oyo town, Oyo state has stirred emotional reactions.

Bashiru Wasilat cried profusely while giving her farewell speech on her graduation day because her parents were nowhere to be found on her graduation day.

Another reason she was in tears, according to a tweet by Oluwakayode, the Master of Ceremony was because she may not continue her education beyond primary school as her parents can no longer fund it.

Kayode called on public-spirited individuals to help the girl continue her education as he shared shared her last report card which had “Excellent” remarks in all subjects.

She obtained 80 marks and above in all the 12 subjects seen on the report sheet. The report card also described Wasilat as an obedient child.

According to Olúwakáyòdé @Oluwakayodey_Wasilat was weeping when she was giving her farewell speech. None of her parents showed up at the party due to lack of money. Her dad is jobless and her mom is a ‘struggling’ trader. It was the school that funded some of her things, including the graduation gown.

If God is directing you to help this little queen to further her education from Primary to Secondary and beyond, please send me a direct message so I can direct you to the parents and the proprietor.

She took the first position in her class and all the subjects. She is such a brilliant girl.
