Great to finally be back with our daily routine, now that we kind of understand the dynamics of #COVID19 . We resume with Hip Stretch Workout programs.

Tight hips have greeted nearly everyone’s body structure with the imposed lockdowns. Most people’s hip flexors have therefore become tightened. This can radiate aches and pains through the entire lower back.

If we also remember that the lower back connects to other parts of the body, and the pains can actually spread making it difficult for the pelvis to rotate properly.

Continuous lower back pain can can trigger back-bone or spinal cord injury which in the worst case scenario could result in avoidable orthopaedic procedures.

Tight hips can compromise the gluts making it difficult to activate.

Besides the imposed sedentary habits, the hip takes a lot of impact on a daily basis. Orthopaedics say that the hips are where our entire body sits and that is where the transfer of force happens.

Walking, running, random stretches during housework or other high impact activities are absorbed by that part of the body.

It helps to spend sometime releasing the flexors with simple exercises. Indeed, there are a bunch of hip stretches that can relieve discomfort, decrease tightness and increase mobility.

We will try to to show a few in this episode and the next.
