Hoodlums today, stormed the venue of the security conference convened by the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG).
The conference was organised to discuss the rising security challenges in that region of the country.
The hoodlums arrived Arewa House, venue of the press conference a few minutes before kick-off and descended on the hundreds of organisers.
They destroyed chairs, tables and vehicles parked within the premises.
The National Coordinator of the security conference condemned the attack describing the hoodlums as enemies of the North.
He added that no attack will deter them form condemning the wanton destruction of lives and properties in the north.
According to him, the conference was called to discuss solutions to rising cases of terrorism, banditry and kidnapping in the region.
He disclosed that some of the faces of the hoodlums were known adding that they would be arrested and prosecuted for disrupting a lawful assembly.
