It is a horrible and sad Wednesday as not less than 25 people got burnt in a tanker explosion today in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Reports just reaching us say the victims include Kogi State Polytechnic students, primary school pupils and passers-by.
Some of the primary school pupils were being conveyed in a school bus. More horrible also, is the fact that no fire service truck or personal was on ground to save the situation as victims were burnt to ashes.
The incident occurred at the Felele area in the Lokoja traffic gridlock around a yet to be identified fuel station.
The fully loaded fuel tanker lost control, tipped over, feel and exploded immediately.
Felele is a densely populated but community town a few kilometres from Okene.
